comment uploading files greater than 1MB = connection resets
Thanks. Small explanaition : in the doc of nginx it's said "If the stated content length is greater than this size, then the client receives the HTTP error code 413 ("Request Entity Too Large"). It should be noted that web browsers do not usually know how to properly display such an HTTP error." wiki.nginx.org/HttpCoreModule That's why, probably, the error message is not precise.

comment Email notification about each SSH connection to Linux server
I tried cat /var/log/auth.log | grep sshd, but it gives too much data, if there is a short way to make the data preprocessing, to make the data more readable ?

comment Email notification about each SSH connection to Linux server
@JeffFerland This question is only about successful connections. Of course, an additional protection about each not-successful auth attempt should be configured.

@EightBitTony Both. 1.An instant email with IP/username. 2. Daily statistics about connection duration of each user, who was connected.

comment How to empty Samba network cache on Linux server?
Thanks for the tip. I'm using fstab and credentials are defined in external file via mount.cifs "credentials=" option. Apparently, remount doesn't make the job after modifying credentials.

comment Mount ext3 from remote Windows machine (XP/Vista/7) through ssh?
As I understood from the description of this product, it works only on local machine and there is no SSH support.

The problem, what we have multiple workstations in our infrastructure, which uses such model, and currently it's out of question to make such massive OS upgrade.

comment Add more ressources to Server service on Windows 7
That's a good idea, will do it. It sounds like a most easy solution in the case of existing of such Windows 7 limitations.

comment Add more ressources to Server service on Windows 7
Completly agree. Personnaly, I'm using Ubuntu and it works very well in described model. The problem is, what we need Windows specific programms on the machine in question, and these programms needs lots of ressources and are not compatible with Windows emulators.

comment Add more ressources to Server service on Windows 7
Wow ! That's really impressive. We couldn't afford Windows Server for this mission. I'll try to find a solution or by queuing of requests, or by replacing native Server service of Windows 7 by something external (need to check, if it exists).
