comment How do I use “catchall” in my postfix alias?
What's the difference between local and virtual? For my purpose, actually I am piping it to a script. Whenever someone sends an email to reply-12345@mydomain.com, my postfix will catch it via the regexp and pipe it to a python script. Then, my python script will insert a record into the database.

I'm just looking for the best practice to implement something like this. When Github sends you a message, you can "reply directly to this email", and their mail server catches it, inserts the message into the database.

I have a mail server. I use it to send and receive emails (postfix and dovecot). When this mail server receives an email (for example: messages@mydomain.com), I want my postfix to catch messages sent to this email. Then, my python script will act accordingly. My python script would probably check the messages ID in the subject, and do an API POST request to my API servers.

comment How do I delete everything in the /tmp/ folder?
If it's so easy, please help me answer it. I did "sudo rm * -rf" , and there are still objects in there. Please be kind enough to help me , if it's so easy for you.

I tried this, but it doesn't work. (I even "sudo" before it). After I type "ls" , there is still a lot of stuff there.

After doing that, I got mysql-slow.log.1 , mysql-slow.log.2, ... I CAT each one, but they're all empty. (Also, Can I join them all instead of reading each file individually?)

If I log in as "myuser", and I just run mongodump, it works. And also, I did put it in /etc/profile. PATH=$PATH:/opt/mongodb/bin export PATH

comment Why can't I connect to Amazon RDS after setting it up?
My EC2 server can connect to every other MySQL database just fine (the databases on other servers.) Just not my new RDS database. How can I check if I created the RDS database correctly?

I've done that on my EC2 server. I've opened all the standard ports.
