comment How does a webserver handle a connection lost?
It would be helpful to answer the question @Vamsi didn't realize he was asking. It would help others who discover this post as well. A search on "http is stateless" will explain what's going on. There are even discussions here and on Stackoverflow about this.

comment Linux - CentOS6 - semanage - command not found
Mine turned up in sbin rather than bin; the original command results in "no matches found"; 'yum provides seamanage' also same result but with suggestion to search for '*bin/seamanage', and that one does find matches. Something about a change in yum version 3.

comment how to backup svn remotely without a local copy
Excellent! My file system went read-only on me, and I wanted to get a dump, since just pulling off the files in the repo is risky, especially if I have to build a new server with a newer release of svn.

comment Apache vHost - Optimized and Secure
How will the log files be publicly accessible, if they are outside the DocumentRoot? Does the attacker "trick" apache into serving them anyway?

comment Is it possible to include switches in traceroute hops?
Based on what I see, I guess the rule is, "If you can't ping it, you won't be able to see it, either".

comment Linux - How to manage the password of root?
This is a common misconception. And sudo only prompts for "password", so there's no way to know it wants the user password until you actually try it.

comment What is the difference between `su` and `su -` in CentOS?
It's not just CentOS; it's like this on all Unix-like systems.

comment How can I recover my /root directory and find out who deleted it?
Just to be sure, check 'mount' and make sure someone didn't mount an empty directory over the real one.

comment TAB completion not working in ubuntu hardy heron
Thus the question really isn't "Tab doesn't work", it's, "Running the wrong shell". Note that you can run bash from dash with "/bin/bash" and immediately see if the tab key works there. "exit" to get back to dash.
