Can you really have a clock running counterclockwise, as clockwise is by definition the direction a clock runs?

comment Linux - What directories should I exclude when backing up a server?
WARNING: only do this if the partition is unmounted or mounted read-only. Dumping the raw contents of a partition while it is being written to can end up with a badly inconsistent filesystem on the backup (because blocks near the beginning of the filesystem are copied "earlier" than blocks near the end, and the filesystem algorighms do not expect this; you can avoid this problem if you can somehow do an atomic snapshot of the filesystem). fsck will not help you, since its algorithms also depend on the order the filesystem writes to the disk.

comment How do I delete a locked file in Windows?
Be careful with solutions which close the file handle, since they might cause unpredictable corruption. See technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/… for details.

comment Is X.Y.Z.0 a valid IP address?
These must be using firewalls configured by the same kind of people who block all ICMP and end up breaking PMTUD, or block all "invalid" TCP flags and end up breaking ECN.

comment Memory usage per user in Linux?
smem (mentioned in my answer) solves the shared memory problem with its PSS and USS measurements (PSS proportionally distributes the shared memory between the processes which share it).
