comment Which is better for heat: 120v or 220v?
This is why the higher voltage circuit is more efficient at getting power to the plug, but is irrelevant to the discussion of the equipment releasing heat that must be removed from the room.

You imply (but do not state specifically) that you have a Windows domain and that the computers belong to the Windows domain. Please clarify.

Not relevant to my answer, but mySQL or msSQL = Microsoft SQL Server?

Have you spec'ed out and costed Amazon EC2 and S3? I am pretty sure that $350/month will buy way more than this.

comment Should I force my users to change passwords every n days/weeks/month?
+1 - Agree for the most part, although I like 120 day or 180 day expiration. Good luck keeping an "exceedingly strict" password policy alive in a political organization.

@mathepic - "but if he wants to use "0" for a password, thats his own fault." - I agree in concept, but in reality, the site owner has some accountability. If you use "0" at your bank, and your account is cleaned out, they will put it back, right?

comment Where Can I get good certification as server admin?
@zoredache .. Sorry if I offended you; that wasn't my intent. I find the whole "close" thing (other than dup and wrong site) kind of silly. It brings up just this kind of inanity. What is subjective or inappropriate to you seems great discussion to me, and it only takes 5 to close. This question is at least as objective and on-topic as "best sysadmin podcast."
