Did you try to map a drive from SCOTTY to MRSPOCK? Possibly try setting up homegroups on SCOTTY and adding MRSPOCK\administrator to the home group? This is a networking issue, not really an issue with the tool itself. It's complicated by the fact that I can't easily setup a similar environment here on the domain at work. :( Good luck!

Maybe make an account on both computers with the same name and password. Use it in the tool as the task account for the backup tool and try again.

No, the account is the report reader account. You need to give a domain account the log on locally permission. During tfs install you are prompted for this account. Not sure how its handled during "add reports" but you should make sure the account you used has the permissions it needs.

I wouldn't do this becaues it leaves the configuration database on a client PC, probably on an installation of SQLExpress, while the rest of the data presumably moves to the full SQL Server product on the server. Much better to just move all the data and use TFSConfig PrepSQL.
