comment Expanding ZFS on MDRaid?
so: zpool export; modprobe -r zfs; modprobe zfs; zpool import; zpool online -e tank md2 didn't change anything either

I would have used raidz, if it had allowed me to resize the array...

comment User-trainable spam filtering with Exim and Dovecot
Cool, I feared it would be less Unix-y. I just had to change my Exim pipe from command = dovecot-lda… to command = spamc -e dovecot-lda… and use Sieve in Dovecot to drop it into the correct box.

yeah, I knew debian was slow, but I just didn't expect a "stable" release from 2012 to come with a version from 2008… (I have to rely on debian & backports though, since my virtual server has an ancient kernel current libc-releases don't even support anymore…)

With server{listen 80; return 444;} server{listen 80; server_name _; return 444} it still answers for no Host:, Host: arbitrary and Host: wrong.domain, just not for Host: domain.

comment Debian Stable: Can't update kernel, libc won't update
It's a Confixx Vitruzzo system, support tells me that's the latest kernel they provide and that I should deal with it. I "solved" it by pinning the libc6 version to 2.11.2-10 (and downgrading the packages dependent on it). I think it was an Etch system when I got it, upgraded to stable and pulled some packets that were too ancient from unstable and testing. The problem was that the postinst/postrm scripts all called ldconfig so I had to edit these…
