comment Schtasks.exe gives Access Denied error when trying to access remote computer using a local admin account
So many things can go wrong here. Could you elaborate more how you are executing this program? Is schtasks run on your PC? Do you start it in elevated mode? Do you run it in a command prompt? Do you run it in a script? Are you sure you did not misspell the password? Did you check that the user has "Logon as batch job"-rights? Why don't you use the task scheduler console? On which OS are you running the command? Do you have any logfiles that contain more information than "access denied" (Security Log on server, maybe)?

1.5 hours later than my answer but quite the same content...you could have edited mine instead of adding another one.

comment How to disable “safely remove hardware”
@JohnGardeniers True, but why then mention virtual desktops if it is a general client question? I guessed Matt had a problem with XenDesktop showing devices like "Citrix PV Ethernet Adapter" and such. Using VMWare View you don't have any devices to eject. That's why I wanted Matt to improve his question. As you can see I had a more specific question in mind. Thanks for the elaboration and Matt thanks for the edit.

I think it's funny that you get upvotes. Those who encountered the problem might know what you are talking about. But I don't. You should at least say which "virtual desktop" you are using. There are several and they might behave differently.

@joeqwerty it is true in other situations. But we don't now if OP has set the deny explicitly or even if he has set any deny-settings.

comment Citrix not mapping printers with Office 2010 suite
Could you provide more information? Are the servers in the same farm? Which OS is installed on the servers? Did you install both Office versions on the same server? How do you map the printers(login-script, GPO, etc)? Do you map network printers or local attached printers? Is this happening to one user or all users? Is this happening with one printer or all printers?
