comment XenServer - Does the Hypervisor act as a router?
There's no reason for packets to go on the network if you're not communicating to other machines on the network. Why is this surprising?

comment After uninstalling EHCP, how do I get my original postfix configuration back?
It might be worth checking if the install left the original files intact in /etc/postfix, otherwise simply restore from backup.

Why do you expect .html not to block index.html ?

comment Postfix/Dovecot permissions on new files in a mailbox
If you're going to downvote, then say why. This works 100% on my box and it is a valid answer if it does for him too. It's also a better way of doing it than what might end up as the accept answer.

How intrusive does the logging need to be? Cisco devices can log at packet level but I suspect you already know this. Simply append log to your firewall rules.

comment Server compromised. Bounce message contains many email addresses message was not sent to
I didn't take the time to read everything above but you have to consider that fake bounce replies are very common. It doesn't necessarily mean your server is compromised.

comment What is a logical web address, when using a loadbalancer for distributing load among clustered web applications?
It's probably the virtual IP that all your servers will share, or the equivalent domain name.

comment How to add a new range of IPs to a server on a private VLAN & one NIC?
I think we all eventually encounter a situation that doesn't make sense in our heads until we just do it. Don't worry :)

A default gateway is where you go when trying to reach a network you have no route to. It doesn't make sense to have more than one unless you want redundancy when you can't reach one (which seems to be why pfSense is letting you pick existing ones or to add a new one)

You don't -need- more than one default gateway. Does this help? I'm trying to understand the rest.

comment Correctly configure nameservers with cPanel
Using two IP addresses to point to the same name server would not be a good idea at all. Completely defeats the point of having more than one defined in the first place.

comment iptables can drop traffic but cannot redirect
iptables -L -n -v is a command. He didn't want you to paste the command in the question, he wanted you to show us what happens when you type it.
