Yeah, I kind of figured that out btw now. Still, I managed to connect quite easily to my ubuntu box (from my Win7) using Putty. help.ubuntu.com/community/SSH/OpenSSH/PortForwarding

On ubuntu, the solution was editing mods-enabled/alias.conf and adding Alias /foo2 "/var/www/foo2". Thanks!
