comment How to break mirror, upgrade and fix mirror in RHEL
Run mdadm commands for partitions, hdparm is for the whole drive. You should be able to boot with configuration you've mentioned, it's software raid after all, comes at a relatively late stage in boot process, but I cannot give you my word for it.

comment Managing upgrades on hundreds of Debian servers
Have one local server to store latest packets and use it as an apt repository, this will save you bandwidth and time, use your local repository to distribute updates to local servers. Oh, and use aptitude instead of apt-get.

Can you update your question with outputs of "modprobe -l|grep -i hid" and "lsmod"?

Try arping (google it), also, you can modify ARP tables, have you tried correcting them?

Yes, I can. smartctl -i /dev/sda shows serial number, same for sdb. Not sure if this helps though, as they're covered from above in their hot-swap slots.

You should read this httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod/prefork.html

comment How does ping know that my packets are filtered?
The question was "how" ping knows, I think the author is aware that ICMP is being filtered. He probably thinks that filtered means filtering black hole style, with nothing given back and that raised the question about ping "magically" knowing what's the case.

Set up what? aptitude install nginx takes less than 10 minutes, if that's what you mean.

comment USB forwarding from dom0 to domU
Bah, I'm freezint this research, it leads nowhere. Strange that such a common thing as USB is so poorly implemented in a project as big as XEN. Oh well, lesson learnt.

comment USB forwarding from dom0 to domU
I have moved all my services to dom0 from this machine, battling with USB was not worth it. I could have selected your answer if you'd been more specific, now it wasn't that helpful to be honest.

I'll try this over the weekend and report back, however, could you be more specific about unloading UHCI/OCHI/EHCI devices? Do you mean rmmod'ing corresponding kernel modules? Where is noirqdebug put, in grub (presumably?) config? Thanks!

comment Webserver Hosting Location
You can get another IP and host on the same server as you host your .com domain. Provided it's just text/images content, you don't need to host it in EU physically.

Can you cite your sources for "It's available from 2.6.24 or better apparently.", just so I can be sure.
