Nevermind... you were right! My host name was NOT the same as the DNS name, BUT I had specified the relay domain as an accepted domain for local delivery, effectively the same effect...

Forgive me if this is thick, but what do you suggest I do to resolve the problem? The local hostname of my CentOS vm != dns name... I just it to sit "in front of" my Exchange server and forward all mail for relay_domains to it at this point.

I do have a QoS rule set to discriminate between voice and data traffic on our network... I'm posting this above.

@MDMarra you make a good point... this system has not been patched in a while. Ok, I'll do this. So the quickest route is to boot from image and run Diskpart?

Ah I just read your entire post. This system is a critical one so it cannot go down for a reboot to a setup ISO.
