comment Which versions of Apache are currently supported?
I believe it's much more useful to consider the support time frame of your distribution of choice. They are the one that need to make sure the Apache they ship is secure.

Please ask this question to the AWS support team. They are the only one that can get you a definitive answer for your specific use case.

comment Need Help in configuring private website available on TAB/mobile (linux)
Removing the A record will not remove public access to your site, it will just remove the name from the DNS. Everyone knowing or just randomly scanning the IP still can access your site.

If it wasn't quick formatted but really overwritten, you have essentially no chance to get the data back.

comment Running screen inside tmux
So, you have a complex screen command - but why does it need to run inside tmux? Can't you get rid of it for this task?

comment Apache doesnt appear to be using multiple cores
That's impossible to say as it depends on your site. You have to watch the numbers (load, IO wait, load times of your site) and if they get problematic, you need to start thinking about this. WP plugins are a prime candidate for problems - lots of badly written ones out there that have a high impact on the performance.

comment Apache doesnt appear to be using multiple cores
Yes, for such a low traffic site, Apache defaults are usually OK. If you get much more traffic, you might have to start tweaking, but before that you need to learn more about this. MySQL running out of connections on such a site might indicate a problem with your website code though, but that's a different issue.

Do you have a real good reason to do that? This is one of the questions that indicate you shouldn't do this if you have to ask it.

htop has a nice visual display of individual cores. However, forget about that. You misinterpreted the output of top, but that is no reason to mistrust the OS scheduler to do it's work after you learned the real meaning of what you saw. 100K requests per week means one request every 6 seconds on average, this will not even register as any load at all in most cases.

comment Mailserver, outgoing mails are not delivered
@JennyD In Germany, non-managed servers (and sometimes VPS as well) are marketed as root server, as you have root access to the OS, as opposed to shared hosting. I am not sure what is meant by the private classification though but it could mean a dedicated machine, not a VPS.

Why do you want to do this? Having these group members in a central location is one of the most important features of an LDAP user database.
