comment Server Error when running a coldfusion page in an ASP.NET application folder
Note that at my current job, we are using CF 8 and CF 9 on different servers with the same integration with .NET working just fine. The gotcha is that we're currently forced to use Win2K3 and IIS 6 for the moment, but under IIS 7, a classic mode application pool will work. It just doesn't work for us as we have an integrated mode requirement under IIS 7.

You should be able to get it to work as long as you are using a "classic mode" application pool. Prior to CF 9.0.1, CF didn't even support "integrated mode," so you really have no choice. Using a "classic mode" application pool is the only solution currently to support both technologies within the same application pool under IIS7 as this is really just IIS6 mode. And, both work fine together under IIS6 on Win2K3 boxes.

comment Server Application Unavailable after upgrade to .NET 4.0 and MVC 3. AppPool Recycle fixes it
This is no longer true. As of .NET 4, application pools targeting 4.0 can also run earlier versions side-by-side. Edit: Well, I guess this can still be the case if there is a defect when running this way...
