comment nginx try_files to rewrite .html into “clean” url
@xperator it's been a while since I wrote the configuration above, but it should serve the contents of /index.html for / on the all directories including the root (e.g., http://example.com/) because of the index index.html statement. Regarding SEO, the above takes the content of the file instead of redirecting, so you could try replacing rewrite ^(.*)$ $1.html last; with rewrite ^(.*)$ $1.html redirect; or rewrite ^(.*)$ $1.html permanent;

comment Redirect users connecting with SSLv3 within nginx
I seriously doubt any major search engine crawlers are still using SSLv3, especially after the disclosure of POODLE. This is a quick fix to help prevent users on extremely outdated (and fringe) clients. It does not affect non-SSLv3 clients or SEO.

comment Redirect users connecting with SSLv3 within nginx
@XavierLucas You could do, but it may introduce an infinite redirect loop without further handling (accessing /poodle-doodle.html with SSLv3 may end up redirecting to itself forever).

comment One Unix account for several users on GitHub, how does it work?
This is how a number of "Git Hosting" products work too. A particularly easy to configure variant is Gitolite if you're interested in seeing how it works.

comment With nginx serve a custom 404 page with header 404, without changing the browseraddress
@C.A.Vuyk I have just tried this configuration on a clean nginx 1.6.2 install. It seems to work fine (Chrome as a test browser), can you provide more of your server configuration block please?

That's correct AFAIK, exit code 0 only if the package is installed.

comment AWS EC2 PHP session_start with permission denied
When you say "from php code", do you mean like php -r or through a web server?
