My name is Jonathan Sampson; I'm a full-stack web developer located near Redmond, Washington, United States. By day I serve as a Program Manager on the Internet Explorer team at Microsoft.

I'm a huge advocate of community, and open-source software. I had the great honor of being a community moderator on Stack Overflow from February 2010 to March 2013. Additionally, I try to give back when and where I can through GitHub.

I recently did walkthroughs on the HTML, and CSS2.1 Specifications. These can be found online at http://youtube.com/jjdsampson. I'd like to kick off more regular hangouts discussing JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, and modern CSS.

I'm also available to help with open-web issues and cross-browser compatibility. Feel free to reach out to me on twitter, and I'll gladly assist to the best of my ability.

Running the mailq command seems to have showed exactly who might be the culprit. Thanks!

Within /var/log/ I have httpd, mailman, samba and turbopanel. Plus several .gz files of the format maillog.x.gz where x is a sequential number 1, 2, 3, etc.

zip doesn't appear to be available on my server. Other than that, your answer was thorough and spot-on. Thank you very much. I suppose I misread the instructions on this site regarding gzip: "The above command compresses the contents of the /school directory and places them in a file named filename.gz."
