comment How to find active directory group status
Maybe the question should go on Stack Overflow? Most of the admin guys will use a simple scripting language for that.

comment ESXi 6.0 has stopped mounting NFS Shares
I think there must be some kind of error. Please have a look here wiki.linux-nfs.org/wiki/index.php/Testing_tools and see what's happening on the NFS share. Pick anything with NFS3/4 support and see if the share is indeed working on the protocol that you specified.

comment Still able to connect to ftp after removing ftp server from Windows 2008 r2
Connect over to it and see who responds on that port: telnet host port. This will give you an idea if you have something else that might respond on that. In rare cases I've seen js ftp servers like this one github.com/alanszlosek/nodeftpd .

That or you have an proxy, something else that translates the DNS entry and makes it unavailable. I would say this is not a Tomcat issue.

Go on another server( from where it does not work) and go with telnet hostname 8443. Does that work?

Indeed and this is because of how the redirect page works for the Tomcat connector. Please have a look here tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-8.0-doc/config/http.html. Will add it to the response

Have not tried to command line, you can find some details here developercenter.vmware.com/web/sdk/60/vcenter-converter. Will update my answer with the link.

The converter presumes that the VM is a physical one, that the only difference. Try it ;)
