comment SQL Server performance
Far too many variables at play here. You've used SQL Server 2008 and 2012. How are the databases defined? Was there log or file growth during the data loads? What's the source of your data - is it local or is the network involved. What about the destination? Is it local to the application or does it also to cross the network? What activity was occurring on the server versus your machine during the data load? etc

comment Constrained Delegation between IIS, SQL Server, SSRS and File System
I believe SQL Server only creates the SPN when SQL Server installation happens. My gospel for such things is Adam Saxton Kerberos Checklist

comment SQL Server 2014 SSIS job fails
Option 1) one of these connections requires a provider in the opposite namespace (32 or 64 bit) from which the job is running. Excel is the common culprit here. 2) This project is using the Project Deployment Model and there's a reference to a project level connection manager (Yes, you specify they are package level CMs. Mistakes happen) 3) The provider for the connection manager does not exist on that machine.

comment SSIS Package stops SQL Server services
As I stated on your question when it lived on SO, this is likely better served on dba.stackexchange.com. But, you're going to need to provide the content of USP_Light and you'll need to get server logs (windows & SQL Server) from the server at the time of the crash. There is nothing magical about how SSIS runs a stored procedure. If SSIS crashes it, then it should be reproducible from SSMS or a simple PowerShell/Console app.

Could you add a screen shot of the data flow?

comment Permissions to create an spn
Ah, so the line "Membership in Domain Admins, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure" means domain admin power is required to delegate that power but the only required privilege is the ability write to spn you've indicated?
