comment GPO - Set Desktop Background But allow users to change
Are you deploying the background via policy at all (at the moment) or did you just have this set only within the default image you guys use?

comment Blocking USB through GPO in 2008 R2 & excluding certain users
So this policy has been applied and works for you but no one else? Have you performed a gpresult under their account ("gpresult /h gpreport.html") to see if the policy shows as a applied GPO or if its evening showing?

comment How to lock down Windows 7 for standard users only?
Mike - Correct, the group policy is created on the DC (Domain Controller) and then applied to the workstations connected to your Domain. There is no point doing this via the PC itself as if you want to update the settings in future, you can make one change on the Group Policy and this will apply to all PC's (which are connected to your domain). I'd suggest reading up on the link @MDMarra provided as this isn't a small/easy task for someone who hasn't used GPO's before.

comment How to prevent Domain Users group from being added to local Users group
Are you able to update the original post with a screenshot of the 'Users (built-in) Properties' screen where you configured this GPO? Setting this GPO update correctly should do what you're trying. If you could update the post, I can see how you've configured this.

comment Domain User Account Locks: Correct password used
I think the OP disabled the Account Lockout GPO due to this issue (as a temporary fix) and this has resolved the issue... But it's very vague.

Did this user have any failed attempts? What was your policy set to (how many attempts before the account locks out)?
