I solve problems and write code, but not necessarily in that order all of the time.

comment How Can I Configure nginx to Use Pretty URLs for Static Sites?
please pipe my last comment to /dev/null. It started working last night. Not sure why - I am sure I reloaded the config more than once, but it's working now.

comment How Can I Configure nginx to Use Pretty URLs for Static Sites?
Following this answer doesn't quite work for me. If I have a file "can-you-see-me.html" that I would like the url to be /can-you-see-me, this causes the browser to download the file instead of displaying it. If I take out all of the dashes "canyouseeme.html" works fine with /canyouseeme, but I need the dashes.....

comment rsyslog to external script
yes. same error. In fact, if I stick quotes around an existing script, it throws the error. The shell that gets created is pretty bare. I have a test script that writes out the sys.path and os.environ to a file in /tmp and it lists the path as /usr/lib64/python2.4/.... if I run that script from a user, the shell environment has the right paths. Is there a way to modify the shell that rsyslog starts?

tried . ^/usr/local/bin/python path_to_script and received "exec: No such file or directory" error. Isn't there just a way to set the shell it opens to use the right path?
