Thanks for the info about iam:PassRole. That is more detail than I had learned before, it does show lots more than can be done by configuring the permissions like this.

@SimonCatlin I have seen SOHO router products that are hard configured for 192.168.1.0/24, apparently an attempt to minimize the configuration options for people buying these things. My first home router was like this.

Basically, because RIP is simple.

comment Ubuntu not enough space on AWS EC2
Your root filesystem is apparently the one that is full. In common AWS setups it is the only filesystem. 25GB is odd for a root filesystem. Is this your own AMI this instance is launched from? You might need to put this instance in STOP state and move its root volume to a new instance you can diagnose it from (it will be a data volume there).

Are the actual files duplicate at each mount point?

At the OS API layer, sockets can have the local address bound before use, or not. Other programs and libraries end up using (maybe not directly) this OS API layer. It's all a matter of whether the address is specified or not. If not it will be what the kernel finds first working. Whatever you are using to make the connection, you must use its way of setting this.

comment Can't see all servers through VPN
Is the VPN endpoint in the remote router that also is used for regular internet access at the customer location? Or is the VPN endpoint in another box?
