comment SSH authentication based on existing OpenVPN tunnel
Both OpenVPN and SSH can use RSA keys. You can use the same private key for both. Generating the public SSH key, and the generating a cert for OpenVPN are different processes. Using the same for both is not trivial though. You are probably better off just keeping them separate.

comment Mounted with bind folder doesn't appear in FTP client if mounted a folder in a volume
Have you tried restarting the ftp daemon? It may open the directory when the daemon starts, and then just keep it open.

comment tcpdump increases udp performance
One thing that tcpdump does by default is put your network interface into promiscuous mode. You might want to pass the -p option to skip doing that to see if it makes a difference.

comment Ubuntu 14.04 using 100% SWAP with more than 40GB free memory
Do you have any historical data at all? Do you have atsar installed perhaps? Or something else that you can use to look back over the last few hours/days and see when the usage started? Maybe then you could associate it with some specific task.

comment Restoring a Win2000 AD domain from a Win2000 BDC?
adprep runs into an error - And what is the error? Why can't you fix that? That is what you should focus on.

comment Create a security group that can promote a member server to domain controller without being in the domain admins group
This requirement is very unusual. I very much doubt you can add DCs without being a Domain Admin.

comment Place Date in Description when moved to different OU
Yes, that is possible. We are not going to write the script for you. You are going to need to spend some time doing putting the effort in yourself.

comment VPN Connection Failed When Using SSH
Since you changed the path for your connection, (started a vpn) you have changed the path for your connection (the old path doesn't work). Most likely your routes, network addressing, or something else changed in some way.

comment HP microserver gen8 - Win server 2012 r2 does not see the internal HD - asks for a driver
You almost certainly either need to extract that driver or download a different version of the packaging. A valid driver will be in a directory that includes an .inf file. BTW your comment about ESXi not having drivers issue is a bit odd, since the reason ESXi probably doesn't run is a lack of drivers for that hardware...

comment Very low OpenVPN throughput (100Mbit port, low CPU utilization)
Are both machines in the same datacenter? 60ms within the same data center is pretty high. I might be tempted to try cipher none though I doubt it will help.

comment Very low OpenVPN throughput (100Mbit port, low CPU utilization)
We need to ensure that the data packets we transmit arrive as expected. and isn't that handled by the protocol that is being tunneled? Why do you think your tunnel needs to be the thing that enforces that?

comment TCP/UDP traffic forwarding to a different IP
It really isn't clear to me what you are trying to do here. Please spend some more time on your question. Maybe a diagram showing your setup, and how the current packets flow, and what you you need to change.

comment mdadm Software RAID1 with GPT on Debian 8.0 amd64 - Does not boot on disk removal
I have never tried it, but I wonder if you could set the force the root device to be /dev/md0 or whatever by editing your grub.cfg. If that did work you would have to do some tweaking to fix it so that the scripts that generate the grub.cfg create the right options.

We need more detail. A log of the boot errors, a screenshot something. I am really not sure what you changed here, and I have no idea what errors you are getting. Without having any of the above I doubt anyone can help you.

He means try to connect to port 40004 from the server itself.

comment SSH works only on the standard port
Perform a tcpdump and listen for traffic on port 40004 on your server? tcpdump -qn port 40004 do you actually see the incoming requests getting to your server? Or is there something in the path blocking your traffic.
