comment How risky is storing credentials on disk in a Powershell SecureString?
@HopelessN00b I don't think your analogy works. A PSCredential is encrypted is such a way that it 'should' only be usable by a single user on that specific computer. It isn't like that cash, which you can just pick up an walk away with. IE you can't just boot to offline media, grab the credential file and be able to use/decrypt it.

comment Ubuntu Router to connect two networks via IPv6
How are you expecting machines on the Windows subnet to know how to reach/reply to machines on the Linux subnet? You shouldn't need to push any routes to the devices behind the Linux router. I bet it is routes on the Windows subnet that is your problem. Have you tried doing a tcpdump on the outside interface of your router? I bet your pings leave the router, and replies never get back.

I really have no idea what you are talking about. Can you include a link to whatever documentation/articles/whatever you are referencing?

comment I can't find Terminal Services Manager
@Pacerier not really sure. I know Microsoft changed many things. I know some of the management functionality is part of servermanager.

comment Apply a password group policy seperate from the Default Domain Policy?
I have it linked on the Domain Controllers OU on a domain, and it seems to be be working. It is entirely possible I may be making it work against the standard recommendations or best practices. On that particular Domain it is linked in there because their GPOs are a huge mess at the root, and so inheritance got blocked on the DC OU. Cleaning up the GPO disaster is on the to fix list, but the client has very small budget.

comment How do I configure a naked domain and a mail server to a cloud hosted app?
You can't do this. Or at least you can't do this without using non-standard DNS server that interepets things on the backend.

comment Apply a password group policy seperate from the Default Domain Policy?
It works. You just have to do it right. Meaning you like it in the right place at a higher link order then any default policies.

comment What method can I use to manage hundreds of VPNs/Remote Connections to servers outside my network?
I know you don't want to restrict the clients used at all, but can you see how many of these VPNs could be connected to by a Linux-based client? If you could terminate most of your connections on a Linux client, then you could manage the whole set of them with a configuration management tool. Have you considered putting a device of your own within their network? A small raspberry pi sized device could create a connection to your network maybe?
