I chmoded -R gu+s to use sticky bits so the owner is kept, but not the permissions.

My daily cron is now test -x /usr/sbin/automysqlbackup && su -c /usr/sbin/automysqlbackup mybackup but it is still creating backup files as -rw------- root root (mybackup is my backup user)

automysqlbackup runs automatically through cron and following directives from a config file. So I don't know where I should change this user. This config file does not specify the user.
