comment How to set systemd service dependencies?
Thanks, great answer! I installed nginx from the remi repository (third-party), which might explain why "After" is missing in the unit file.

Thanks, that solves it! Mind to put it in an answer so I can close it? :)

comment Add trailing slash when it's missing in nginx
Thank you for your answer, but that doesn't solve my problem.

comment Multiple SSL vhosts using wildcard certificate in nginx
Apparently you need to restart nginx instead of reloading it when doing these changes. Many thanks, your answer works like a charm :)

Unfortunately this doesn't work: nginx serves the same vhost content on both hosts.

comment Open table cache in MySQL
Thanks, but my question is not about the open_files_limit but about the table_open_cache. Are there any limitations on that, apart from the open_files_limit?

Sorry, I don't understand you entirely. Do you mean that database names need to be pre-defined?

Thank you for your comment, but I can't figure it out entirely. I've updated my question (I couldn't do code formatting in comment).

comment Does google's web crawler download binary files?
Good point, but remember to also forward resolve the host name. Anyone who 'owns' an IP address can set a PTR record to a .googlebot.com domain.

comment Which simple server virtualization solution to use?
Thank you both for your advise and my apologies for the poorly stated question. I know ESXi but thought it would be overkill for my situation. I'll give it a try nevertheless. Unfortunately I want to flag this question as closed, but I can't flag a definitive answer because these are comments. I also can't delete or otherwise close this question.

I hate to answer my own question, but I found this interesting thread: serverfault.com/questions/11521/svnssh-security

I'm afraid this isn't really a solution to my problem, as I don't want to use the svnserve binary.

comment Cross-group file permissions in Linux
This is working great! Surprising how setuid/setgid is something entirely different on directories than on executables. Thanks!

comment Cross-group file permissions in Linux
I'm afraid this is not working, because the new ACL doesn't seem to apply to new files in the repo. For example, the db/revs/0/50 file is created when revision 50 is committed by Alice. Bob can't access this file as it does not have the ACL rights for Bob. Somehow the ACL needs to be made sticky or something?

Ah yes, I understand. Great, thank you!

comment What to use for software-based shared file storage?
Excuse my ignorance, but I'm afraid I don't fully understand this. In a 2-server set-up I would have 2 NFS-servers both mounting the NFS-share? Or just 1 NFS-server and 2 mounting the NFS-share? What if 1 server goes down, I need to set-up the NFS-server on the other (remaining) server?
