I browsed the web trying to find the ideal robots.txt content for a hosted WordPress blog. I found several options, for example here and here.
I thought this would be a good question for ServerFault: for a "simple" blog over WordPress, what would be the ideal robots.txt?
Currently I have the following robots.txt that I found elsewhere on the web:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin
Disallow: /wp-admin
Disallow: /wp-includes
Disallow: /wp-content/plugins
Disallow: /wp-content/cache
Disallow: /wp-content/themes
Disallow: /trackback
Disallow: /feed
Disallow: /comments
Disallow: /category/*/*
Disallow: */trackback
Disallow: */feed
Disallow: */comments
Disallow: /*?*
Disallow: /*?
Allow: /wp-content/uploads
# Google Image
User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow:
Allow: /*
# Google AdSense
User-agent: Mediapartners-Google*
Disallow:
Allow: /*
# Internet Archiver Wayback Machine
User-agent: ia_archiver

# digg mirror

Thanks
