2018 Moderator Election

I nominate myself: ibedelovski.

I have been an active contributor to Stack Overflow in the past, I am mostly active for the Linux and networking stuff. Recently I've had less time to answer, so I end up hanging out in either the newest questions page or the moderation tools.

Naturally, I am a person who really cares about organizing the things, for example organizing the DevOps issues in the company where I am working currently, organizing and documenting the things that is important for me and many similar things. This behavior really helps me for evaluating myself as a good DevOps Engineer.

I always try to place a unique question or answer which is the most important thing for this community.

Experienced in many different areas such as DevOps, Sysadmin, AWS, GCP, Python, Kubernetes, Docker...

Why I want to nominate myself as a moderator?

Just to help the people to document the issues and situations in more details as much as possible.

I'm putting my name forward for the position of moderator (again!).

Like many of the old-timers (I've been active on ServerFault from the time it came out of Beta), I'm less involved than a few years ago, but I still check in pretty much every day:

• I read a bunch of question and vote on a few (even though I'm only voting very little by my standards, I'm still #5 for this year)
• I check meta.SF every day and check chat whenever something new gets said
• I go on bouts of reviewing in the close and re-open queues

In addition, I read and review on meta.SE pretty much every day so I keep up on what's happening overall on StackExchange.

I'm not in a European time zone but I'm in PST (UTC-8) and usually stay up late so I'd provide some useful coverage. I think my years of experience on ServerFault and my continued participation on the site would make me a good moderator.

I put my name in for the election, again, after withdrawing

• I withdrawed because I doubted my free time, but today I checked my profile and in 3 year as a member I almost went daily on SF/meta. I dont plan to use less SF. I realized I'am not so bad. For the timezone restriction I will let the voter decide if it's a no for me on that issue

For the record; I have 5 kids, and one is a disabled kid (a non-verbal autism (I learnt ASL for him)). So yes it can come some times that I'am less online, but I love to help online, kinda keep me gooing, so I really don't plan to leave.

I still consider myself as a new member on serverfault, and I like to learn from other members every days.

I'am in the EST timezone (UTC-5), that timezone is already well covered, but I'am active in the morning and late at night

I used to be an active moderator on another platform, as such I have a good idea of what I jump in (abuses handling, user flags, ..) I switched my focus to SF for the quality, as even with a quality problem (that other sites suffer too), the community moderation there still make SF a better place than some others.
