I have set up a Samba as a member server (fileserver) for my AD. It can be accessed, files are working, the machine has added it's FQDN to my Windows DNS and everbody is happy.

No I had to add a VPN interface tun0 to this machine. Which is also working fine - I added the network to the interfaces = of my smb.conf and Samba can be accessed through this tunnel.

But after a reboot, the new tun0's IP adresses were registered to my Windows AD DNS. Which obviously doesn't work, because my default gateway doesn't know of the tun0-VPN adresses (which is correct).

How do I tell Samba which interfaces to register and which not?
