        include         fastcgi_params;
        fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name;
        fastcgi_param PATH_INFO $fastcgi_path_info;
    }
}

docker-compose.yml

services:
  webserver:
    image: nginx:latest
    ports:
      - "80:80"
      - "443:443"
    volumes:

The problem was firewalld blocked docker from communicating between containers.

This command fixes it: firewall-cmd --set-default-zone=trusted

or disabling firewall all together
