So as of now, I have one apache server running and I would like it so that if that server goes down (hardware or something) I have another server to take its place. How would I have to set up my extra server to take its place?

  • The exact details vary significantly based on your setup, but the general idea is "fire up a second server, make sure it has the same code, and use a load balancer". If you're on something like AWS, they can provide the load balancer.

  • @ceejayoz I'm using bare-metal servers. Can you suggest a load balancer for ubuntu?
