I have installed php-fpm on Centos + Apache using this manual - http://www.howtoforge.com/using-php5-fpm-with-apache2-on-centos-6.2-p2 but PHP-FPM is not displayed in phpinfo(). And I cannot figure out why. enter image description here

PHP-FPM process is installed and running just fine:

# service php-fpm status
php-fpm (pid 13349) is running...
# service php-fpm configtest
[29-Apr-2013 14:17:34] NOTICE: configuration file /etc/php-fpm.conf test is successful

My /etc/php-fpm.conf:

Can someone please suggest where is the problem?

PHP-FPM is a FastCGI implementation, so what it's showing in phpinfo() is perfectly accurate.

  • Hello ceejayoz, I was following this manual: howtoforge.com/using-php5-fpm-with-apache2-on-centos-6.2-p2 and the author says that PHP is working through FPM/FastCGI as you can see on his screenshot on the link above. So are you saying you can have two different outputs for php-fpm in phpinfo()?

Ok, I found where the problem was.

I had 2 more config files in /etc/httpd/conf.d (probably created by Parallels Plesk Panel):

  • /etc/httpd/conf.d/fcgid.conf
  • /etc/httpd/conf.d/php_cgi.conf

I commented everything inside and now php-fpm is active (as displayed on screenshots in my post above).

Thanks!

In my case, I had to disable the regular (non fpm) php5 module. Aug 21, 2014 at 14:08
  • check if any php old or new version(like 7 or 7.2 ) is enabled ls /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/php* if yes disable sudo a2dismod php7.2 Feb 7, 2021 at 12:34
