I am using CentOS 7.5.

I noticed that as soon as I upgraded from kernel-3.10.0-693.el7.x86_64 to kernel-3.10.0-862.2.3.el7.x86_64.

Some of the kernel modules aren't there (e.g. all the modules in /lib/modules/3.10.0-693.el7.x86_64/extra/ doesn't exist in /lib/modules/3.10.0-862.2.3.el7.x86_64/extra/).

Is it normal?

If yes, what are the usual steps to repopulate? Need to rebuild those kernel modules?

Thanks!
