I tried installing freeipa on centos 7. I have modified the /etc/krb5.conf file to mention the realm details e.g. IPA.TESTDOMAIN.COM (valid domain). However, running kinit admin does not work - neither does running klist. Any thought on debugging this further, I have tried restarting the KDC.

Credentials cache keyring 'persistent:0:0' not found

kinit admin

kinit: Cannot contact any KDC for realm 'IPA.TESTDOMAIN.COM' while getting initial credentials
  • What does your /etc/krb5.conf look like? What does iptables/firewalld on the KDC look like? – 84104 May 29 '18 at 19:02
