I see a lot of instructions on how to create an SFTP user and jail them to the /home/username directory. However, I want an SFTP user to only access a directory like this:

/var/www/html/website.com/public_html/wp-content/themes

I was able to successfully set up a jailed SFTP user, but only in /home/username. If I usermod them to have the above web folder as their home directory, I get

packet_write_wait: Connection to xx.xx.xx.xxx port 22: Broken pipe Couldn't read packet: Connection reset by peer

I tried these alternate instructions, and they didn't work for me. Also, the directory is now owned by the 'themers' group, and not www-data, which is what it probably should be.
