Consider a network, in which one Client is sending UDP packets to a remote server and another Client is uploading a file via FTP to a different remote server. These packets are forwarded to the same router. I am thinking: when the router is configured to prioritize UDP packets over FTP packets, the UDP packet loss rate could most probably be reduced. But how can I figure out how much bandwidth the UDP packets need in order to reach a certain packet loss rate. Is there a way?
