We have a small Server 2012R2-based Remote Desktop Services deployment, consisting of:

4 x Session Hosts 1 x Connection Broker (also running the License Server) 1 x Gateway

With a number of published applications.

This is working well, but recently we're seeing a problem when clients try to connect and they receive the error "Remote desktop cannot find the computer [connection-broker-fqdname] does not belong to the specified network. This might mean that [connection-broker-fqdname] does not belong to the specified network. Verify the computer name and domain that you are trying to connect to."

The machine does exist, is pingable from local network and from all of the rd host machines, dns lookups work from the hosts and from the broker / gateway, but the only way we can get things working again is to reboot the broker.

This fixes the problem for a few days, but then it starts happening again.

I can find nothing in the logs on the broker to suggest where to even start looking to diagnose this. Any help or pointers would be gratefully received.
