I'm trying to set up Paperless(tried with Plex as well) on my Kubernetes cluster. My media is on an Windows share mounted with CIFS on my nodes

//data.domain.net/media /mnt/media cifs credentials=/root/.secure,iocharset=utf8,exec,noperm,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,sec=ntlm,_netdev 0 0

I can touch a file, or mkdir on the mount using any user. But chown fails as root(or any other user)

When I start the container, in it's init routine, it tries to chown the media directory, receives a permission denied and therefore fails.

I thought the "noperm" options would make the chown silently fail which would be perfect since the read and write works, but the container fails to start when it receives an error.
