I have an old Supermicro server used for dev environment. After I've encountered a power outage the server failed to start: cpu fans were spinning, but I had no video signal, keyboard had no power, disks won't start spinning.

The server has a RAID controller - AOC LPZCR3 and 4xSAS disks configured in RAID10. After a few tests I've realised that the controller card is faulty (all disks are healthy), but I have no spare for this model.

Is it possible to rebuild the array without losing the data on disks?

  • You need to use tools like "diskinternals raid recovery" or "ReclaiME". You need a controller where you can add your Raid 10 disks as single disks. – marsh-wiggle Dec 24 '18 at 9:18
