I have configured OVS with Linux KVM on Ubuntu 18.04 OS. I have done the configuration with different VLAN's in our OVS configuration. Suddenly the OVS switch stops working even though the KVM host is UP. When we restart the openvswitch service it starts working properly. I am not able to figure out the root cause of the issue, what exactly is causing for such behaviour.

Also I have noticed that, when the OVS stops working the number of flow entries is very high as compared to properly working server. Normally the flow entry is around 3000 to 4000 but when the OVS stops working the flow entry is around 58000. I had used the below command to find the flow entries count:

# ovs-dpctl dump-flows | wc -l

How can I collect more statistics to figure out the root cause of the issue. I had observed that CPU and Memory utilization seems to be fine.
