I am using loopback processing to launch 2012 app connections. My GPOs work as intended on any windows 8+ workstations, but they do not work when applied to a 2016 RDSH. This behavior would make sense for user deployed scripts, as the same policy applying inside the remote session would create a looped connection from the RDSH server to its same farm, but in this use case the loopback creates an app connection to a farm in a different domain so its a moot point. If done manually i have no problem creating the connections, and I suspect I would have no problem if using the older windows 7 style scripted solution either, so the questions is if anyone can confirm whether or not RDSH servers, in this case server 2016, will ignore the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections template when processing group policy.
