I'm trying to run tomcat8 with the specific configuration on CentOS 7. I come from Debian, so I'm having some trouble with the way CentOS works. On Debian what I do is that I create a file /etc/default/tomcat8 to specify the configuration I want of tomcat8, e.g., the value of CATALINA_BASE. However, in CentOS, it does nothing, e.g., the CATALINA_BASE variable isn't modified. So what is the equivalent to /etc/default/ in CentOS? How to properly configure tomcat8 in CentOS 7?
