I have a working Postfix+Dovecot email working and works fine with thunderbird email client. However, while using squirrel mail,I can only receive email but cannot send.

It seems the squirrelmail settings for SMTP is causing issue. I have tried different values for authentication type, as well as disabling TLS just to try all the options but nothing seems to work.

For most authentication types, I get the error 0 Can't open SMTP stream. If I use no authentication then I get a blank error note.

Maybe there will be clues in logs but I am not able to figure out much in /var/log/mail.log

Mar 18 14:11:11 localhost postfix/smtps/smtpd[28890]: disconnect from localhost[127.0.0.1] commands=0/0

Below are the working settings for Thunderbird.

**IMAP:**

Port 143
Connection security: STARTTLS
Authentication method: Normal password

**SMTP**

Port: 465
Connection security: SSL/TLS
Authentication method: Normal password

I can also provide postfix and dovecot conf files content if needed.
