I am creating a network of 400 workstations that receive real-time video streams. These streams are produced by a central server located in the same network. The original feeds are being received from TV channels, or by creating a stream from existing MP4 video files.

My question: Is RTSP (and related protocols such as RTP) the suitable solution to setup a real-time video streaming for a network of 400 workstations?

And if RTSP is not the best solution, would HTTP streaming handle real-time or almost real-time streaming to 400 workstations, considering that HTTP protocols (DASH or HLS) does not support multicast.
