So we have 4 printers in our office, 3 of them are in the same room while the fourth is in another room for Human Resources.

We don't have the printers in a Active Directory. The router is giving them an IP address via DHCP based on their MAC address.

My doubt is, is there any way that we can hide that specific printer on the LAN that is in the room of the Human Resources from other people except the Human Resources?

My solution was to give a different network to that room or printer and that way the people that are in the LAN cannot see the printer, but is there any other better solution?

Thanks for the help!

I would consider using a printserver and setting the permissions on that server. I'm not sure you can hide a printer if it advertises itself on the network. – Tommiie Mar 25 at 11:19
