I am developing an ASP.NET Core application that uses a SQL Server database (on separate servers). The applications are being hosted on premises. The system admins are new to do this and would like me to manage the applications completely. The sysadmins would take of server install, updates and backup.
What would be an appropriate access level for me to have to be able to: 1) Configure (IIS) and restart if needed. 2) Run powershell commands to install/update the application. 3) Run database scripts in SQL server. 4) Any other operations that a dev-ops person may perform.
I'm looking for the minimal permissions to perform my tasks, as I wouldnt be comfortable with root access.
