I'm trying to capture dmesg output from a kernel, that's crashing at boot.

Setting console=comconsole on boot's command line works -- I see the OK prompt on the serial console. I then enter -- on the serial console -- the command:

boot -vh

And the boot begins. I get the kernel's name and the /boot/entropy line on the serial console, followed by the line Booting.... Unfortunately, the actual boot messages are still going to the original "internal" console -- and I cannot get at them...

What am I doing wrong?
