I'm trying to automatically download Cisco switch configuration every night to put it under version control. The command I'm using to test this is

ssh -vvv -t -t -o nethelp@switch 'show running-config' > ~/switch-interactive-config.txt 2>&1

When I run this command in the Bash shell the complete running-config is output to switch-config.txt, but when I put the line into the crontab, only half of the config is saved. The cron entry looks like this:

05 15 * * * ssh -vvv -t -t -o nethelp@switch 'show running-config' > ~/switch-crontab-config.txt 2>&1

The switch and IOS used is

bootdisk:c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.152-1.SY5.bin

Relevant parts of the logfile for the CLI connection:

What strikes me when I compare the SSH output is that in pseudo-tty mode the ospeed and ispeed is set to 0 while in interactive mode it is 38400.

Can anybody explain why I'm getting only parts of the config through my cron job?

    Neither -t -t (force allocate a pseudo-TTY) nor -T (do not allocate a pseudo-TTY) does help.

I have already tested this to no avail but thanks a lot for the hint. I've put all output of env into the corresponding crontab.
